Its AI agent nodes make it the go-to platform for building LLM-powered workflows (chatbots, document processing, autonomous agents) without a SaaS bill that scales with usage. If you or someone on your team can handle basic server setup, the economics are unbeatable.
The leader in robotic process automation. UiPath's bots operate software the way a human does — clicking buttons, reading screens, filling forms — which makes it the answer when your workflow involves legacy desktop apps, ERPs, or portals with no API. Its agentic AI push means bots now handle judgment calls, not just scripted clicks. Overkill for a startup; transformative for operations-heavy businesses drowning in manual data entry.
If your business runs on Microsoft 365, Power Automate is hiding in plain sight — many licenses already include it. It automates across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel natively, and uniquely spans both cloud workflows and desktop RPA in one product. The interface is clunkier than Zapier or Make, but "already paid for and deeply integrated" is a hard combination to argue with.
The bootstrapper's secret weapon. For most founders: start with Zapier. The free plan proves the concept, the app library means you'll never be blocked, and the time you save in week one usually covers the subscription.
